Specialist HR Recruitment Case Study

Case Study

The client

A rapidly growing UK company who were going through a new period of expansion.

Case Study

The challenge

The key to this transition was the appointment of a new Head of Human Resources to support the board of Directors and the wider senior management team.

However, despite working with a national recruitment agency, no suitable candidate had so far been found, leaving the management team filling in for the open role as well as their own workload.

Case Study

Our solution

This was a new and exciting role, so we couldn’t help wonder why the right candidate hadn’t been found. As we never just advertise a role and hope for the best, we arranged to meet the senior management team and get a better idea of the company’s dynamic, culture and what the role would entail. It soon became clear that the nature and opportunities it presented weren’t being conveyed in a way that was likely to attract a quality candidate with this specific skill set. Once we’d developed this, we were able to attach a salary and benefits package on par with similar roles and make the position suitably attractive.

Case Study

The outcome

With the gap between the role and its opportunities successfully bridged, we were able to advertise and search in a way that created immediate interest and soon shortlisted candidates with long-term potential. Following the interview process, the preferred candidate accepted the role with minimal negotiation thanks to the market research already undertaken.

The client has since expanded their HR team and we have supported them further with recruitment across the business.
